Juice fasting " I call it, my mini miracle"

About three years ago I stumbled over this juicing thing.
I was always healthy till I hit my early 50's. They call it menopause. What ever they call it, this menopause thing got my attention.
I got fatigue, sleepless nights for nothing, bloating, hot flashes, hot sweets & more.
I knew I was in trouble, when the foods I eat late hours of the night decided not to stay in me, that I knew I got to do some thing about it.
Make long story short. No doctor to visit. No medical insurance.
One night I had pain on my back. I prayed, but it didn't go away.
I knew in my heart that I have to juice some carrot & apple. I did that & drank it. Then for some reason I drank a lot of water.
All this is the guidance of the Master. The pain gone right away. Wow. That is how I start juicing.
Most of the time I juice what is at hand. Carrot, celery, cucumber & ginger. Ginger gives that needed kick to the juice. When in season I do a lot of water melon juicing & grapes.
I always take about 1 -2 tsp of good oils with each glass of juice. Good oils like code liver oil, fish oil, coconut oil, flax seed oil & olive oil. Good for skin & more, adding oil to vegetable juice help better absorb of the vitamin K from vegetable juice as vitamin K is a fat soluble vitamin. Vitamin K is very important in helping build stronger bones. My favorite is Coconut oil.
Some times, I even add raw egg yolks in to my fresh juices. The egg yolks also help to absorb all the vitamin K from the juice. And protein to build my muscle.
A pinch of cayenne pepper is my recent addition to my fresh juice. A pinch is good for start. You can always increase the amount of the Cayenne paper, depending on your tolerance lever.
The most I noticed since I started the cayenne pepper is that the increase peristaltic action in my intestines. It aids elimination and assimilation, and helps my body to create hydrochloric acid, which is so necessary for good digestion and assimilation.
I own two type of juicing device.
Jack Lalanne Power Juicer has good value for the price. I juice my veggie & fruit in it.
For juicing leafy veggie & soft fruits, I use my Healthy Juicer. This juicer is small & very inexpensive but does good job.
The benefits of juice fasting.
Juice fasting supports my body nutritionally while cleansing and detoxify to produce quicker recovery time.
While juice fasting my stomach actually shrinks to its original size .
After three days of just drinking fresh juices, I will lose all cravings for solid food. Some times my mind might tell me otherwise, but I know my body is very content.
When I just drink the juice my stomach gets that needed rest, allowing the colon to get rid of old compacted and putrefied material that was waiting there to cause future disease.
The juices extracted from fruits & vegetables require no digestion & almost all their vital nutrients are assimilated directly in my bloodstream.
Fresh juices are extremely rich in alkaline elements. This is highly beneficial in normalizing acid alkaline balance in my blood & tissues as their is over acidity in most conditions of ill health.
Fresh juices of fruits & vegetables are extremely rich in vitamins & minerals, trace elements, enzymes & natural sugars. They supply needed elements for my body's own healing activity & cell regeneration thereby speeding the recovery.
I used to do juice fasting more often. Now since I got my health back, I use it as needed.

True, juice fasting has the benefits of detoxifying the body, weight loss and is good when fighting some addiction or craving like you have said.
There are lots of benefits of taking fresh fruit and vegetable juices and people should be encouraged to take them more often.
